Excellence in International Trade

The Martha Layne Collins Award honors Kentucky companies that have shown exceptional progress and success after entering foreign markets. In addition to honoring individual recipients, the Award recognizes the tremendous positive impact that exports and imports have on the economy of our region.

The 2018 award recipients are:

Small Size Enterprises – (50 Employees or Less)

A.C.E. Compressor Parts & Services Inc. - Mayfield, Kentucky


Founded in April 2009 by Johnnie and Paula Lee wanted a place with a family atmosphere. With only 30 employees, ACE (Air Compressor Experts) specializes in providing parts, services, and repair work for companies, such as Ingersoll Rand Centac, Cameron Joy, & Atlas Copco, just to name a few. Over the last 9 years, ACE has added 27 jobs to the Western Kentucky area. Collectively, ACE's employees have over 450 years of experience in the compressed air industry. Not only has this success allowed ACE to hire more, train more and put more Kentuckians to work but we have also, due to the added sales and revenue, been able to pass more business through local Kentucky companies so that they have a worldwide audience to showcase their unique skills, talents and capabilities.


Medium Size Enterprises – (Less than 500 Employees)

Dippin' Dots, LLC - Paducah, Kentucky

Zoeller Comapny - Louisville, Kentucky


Founded in 1939 in Louisville, KY, Zoeller Company is a 4th generation family-owned business and is one of the oldest pump manufacturers in North America. Zoeller Company manufactures a broad range of pumps, containers, and controls for both wastewater and potable water applications. Products range from simple sump pumps to Wi-Fi enabled controls for more advanced pump systems. Zoeller Company has 9 global facilities in 5 countries with product distribution in over 40 countries.
