While visiting an axle manufacturer's plant in Warren, President Donald Trump promised new North American trade deal will be good for Michigan's autoworkers. President Trump also promoted investment announcements by Ford, General Motors and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, including GM's plan to spend $2.2 billion to turn the Detroit-Hamtramck plant into a production facility for electric vehicles and FCA's $4.5 billion investment in southeast Michigan, which will mean a new Jeep assembly plant in Detroit.
