The Kentucky Distillers' Association (KDA), New York State Distillers Guild (NYSDG), American Craft Spirits Association (ACSA), and the Distilled Spirits Council of the US (Discus) have called on Senator Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer to aid distillers through an economic relief package. They are urging Congress to provide components to distillers that include tax relief for one year, waive on interest for late payments, no/low interest loan assistance, suspension of tariffs on spirits, an industry stabilization fund and removal of tariffs on EU and US spirits.
